Final Team Meeting Before Departing

WEDNESDAY 7 TH APRIL


We all met in the 'Merlin' close to Alderly Edge at 7pm for our final meeting before departure to Georgia. Everyone was in good spirits after our performance in front of the District Council the previous week and we all found it hard to contain our excitement in anticipation of what lies ahead of us in the coming month.
The past 6 months have flown by and to think that in just one week from now we will be landing at Atlanta Airport.

We ordered some food in the fantastic restaurant and talked about the finer details of what we will be doing at the District Conference in Jekyll Island on our first weekend.

We've all entered ourselves in the 5 km charity run and Roy informed us that the American GSE team who we will be meeting there had originally only entered two of its members. However once they heard that we had entered everyone, it appears that they have decided to follow suite, which is great news !
Roy also informed us that many Rotarians from our District have already provided us with sponsorship for the run and the GSE Team would like to express our thanks to you all.

The team said it's goodbye's knowing that the next time we meet will be 7am on 14th April at Manchester Airport ready to start our Adventure.
