Team Presentation to the District Council

Tonight was a big occation for the team as we were putting all our hard work from the last 6 months to the test, under the watchful eye of the District Council.

Amid a mixture of anticipation, nerve's, anxiety and excitement in varying degrees amongst all members of the team, we all managed to give a credible performance and the feedback we received was very positive and encouraging.

The team would like to thank all the members of the District Council who made us feel very welcome indeed.

Sunday 21st March

We all met at Roy's house again with speeches prepared so that we could do a run through before going live in front of the District Council in Wilmslow on the evening of Tuesday 30th March.

Joyce once again put on an excellent spread and we all tucked in prior to getting down to business.

Derek Newman and Alec Johnston came along to see how things were going and to give us some feedback on our work.

Nerves got the better of Steve and he fluffed his lines a little, perhaps it was the thought of having to speak in front of a thousand people at the District Conference weighing on his mind at this early stage.

After the positive feedback from Derek and Alec the team got their heads together and amended the scripts accordingly.

Next meeting we go live fully booted and spurred in our spanking new uniforms !
